
The Additional Sessions Court Islamabad sentenced a person from Dera Ghazi Khan to three years in prison after being found guilty of spreading objectionable photos of a woman.
The National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency, which had registered the case, has achieved significant success by completing the investigation in the serious case.
The offender sent sexually objectionable pictures of the victim to her husband and brother through multiple WhatsApp numbers.
The accused also shared this objectionable content on his Facebook account, the accused was arrested on 09 March 2023 and mobile phones, SIM cards and other digital evidence were recovered from his possession.
The technical analysis reports of the forensic laboratory further strengthened the evidence against the accused.
Additional Sessions Judge West Islamabad Abdul Hafeez Memon gave the verdict, the accused was sentenced to three years imprisonment and a fine of Rs 1 lakh under the Electronic Crimes Act 2016. The court also ordered the criminal to pay Rs 50 thousand as compensation to the victim.
