Gujranwala: 67th National Wrestling Championship organized by Pakistan Wrestling Federation was successfully held at Jinnah Stadium Gujranwala. The event was held from December 6 to December 8, 2024, in which teams from all over the country participated.
Apart from Army, WAPDA, Railways, teams from Punjab, Sindh, Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Islamabad and Azad Jammu and Kashmir also participated in the championship. Teams from police, Higher Education Commission (HEC) and other institutions were also seen in action.
In the competitions, the Army wrestling team performed brilliantly and secured the first position with 193 points. Army athletes won 4 gold, 2 silver and 4 bronze medals.
A high standard of wrestling was witnessed during the championship and the athletes performed their matches with great enthusiasm. The fans also enjoyed the thrilling wrestling matches.
