A convoy of more than 70 cargo vehicles reached Kurram with relief supplies

Peshawar:

After the restoration of law and order in Karam district, the seventh big convoy consisting of 76 cargo vehicles reached Para Chinar carrying flour, sugar, ghee, fruits, vegetables, medicines and other daily necessities.

Strict measures were taken by the police, district administration and security forces to protect the convoy, surveillance was also done by gunship helicopters. A large batch of medicines was also delivered.

In the light of the instructions of Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Commissioner Kohat Mutasim Ballah Shah delivered 76 vehicles of food items to different areas of Karam district on Friday. Under the supervision of DIG Kohat Abbas Majeed Marwat and Pakistan Army, the convoy of vehicles reached different areas of Karam under complete security.

Commissioner Kohat and DIG Kohat held a detailed discussion on agreement compliance, mutual cooperation and responsibilities while taking the convoy to Karam with the leaders.

The Health Advisor has said in his statement that keeping in mind the urgent medical needs of the people of Upper Karam, these medicines have been sent to Para Chinar. This consignment of 1500 kg of medicines has been delivered to Para Chinar in a single flight by the provincial government helicopter.
