
The screening of South Indian superstar Allu Arjun’s film Pushpa 2: Da Roll has turned into a mourning for fans due to a tragic accident.
According to Indian media, on the occasion of the screening of the film at a theater in Hyderabad on Wednesday evening, the film’s actors including Allu Arjun arrived at the screening where thousands of fans gathered to catch a glimpse. The main door of the theater collapsed due to the pressure of the crowd, causing a stampede.
In this tragic incident, a 35-year-old woman died while her 9-year-old son was seriously injured, who is currently undergoing treatment at the hospital. The police resorted to lathi-charge to control the crowd, which worsened the situation, and additional personnel had to be called for.
According to reports, due to the popularity of the film, ticket prices have crossed INR 2,500 in major theaters in Mumbai and Delhi.
