Mumbai: Bollywood actor Ali Fazal made an interesting revelation on the completion of 15 years of his debut film 3 Idiots (2009).
Despite his limited screen time, Ali won the hearts of fans and the industry with his role as “Joy Lobo” in the film.
Ali Fazal said that his role in the film was short but proved to be very influential. “I am thankful to the film’s directors Raju Sir (Rajkumar Hirani) and Vidhu Sir (Vidhu Vinod Chopra) for keeping the spirit of the character alive in the film,” he said.
15 years after 3 Edits, Ali Fazal and Aamir Khan will be seen together in “Lahore 1947”, one of the most awaited films of 2025.
Ali said, “Aamir Khan has been the best guide for me at various stages of life. The experience of Lahore 1947 has been amazing.”
He revealed that the shooting of the film is yet to be completed and he was delayed due to his busy schedule with Mani Ratnam’s “Thug Life”.
A popular meme in the movie 3 Edits refers to Joey Lobo’s drone project, in which Joey says, “Sir, come to Mirzapur and show me by throwing my drone!” Ali Fazl laughed at this and said, “Yes, I have seen this meme. Very funny. People are very creative!”
Good news for Mirzapur fans that the shooting of Mirzapur: The Movie is going to start soon. “I think there will be one more season but right now the focus is on the film,” Ali said.
Ali Fazal is also excited about the digital release of his production “Girls Will Be Girls”, made with his wife Richa Chadha. The film received critical acclaim at international festivals. “This film shows the power of stories with roots,” said Ali.
