Every person in the world who is polite works well. Someone has said it well:
“Polite and fortunate. Unmannered, unlucky” Today’s article is about Adaab Mosque.
“Actions depend on intentions.”
While intending to go to the mosque, the intention should be pure and the heart should be pure, the heart should be free from worldly dirt and be clean, the thief of name and appearance, hypocrisy should not be hidden in the heart, but the heart should be full of love and full of fear of God.
Once the Holy Prophet (PBUH) while describing the virtues of the Jama’at said that and told the righteous intention that this excess of reward is when he performs ablution well, then leaves for the mosque and leaves only with the intention of prayer. Before going to the mosque, ablution should be performed at home, because this is the Sunnah method.
Where the Prophet ﷺ has mentioned the excess of reward in congregational prayer, he has specified that the excess of reward is due to performing ablution and then leaving for the mosque with pure intention. And following these manners, there is good news of elevation of status and forgiveness of sins.
It is in the hadith that a man’s congregational prayer is twenty-five times greater than his prayer that is offered at home and in the market, and that excess is due to the fact that he performed ablution with his rights and went out only with the intention of prayer. It is also necessary to go to the court of God with full preparation, the clothes should be clean, the body and the body should be clean, and the organs of ablution, which will be significantly engaged in prayers and expressions of humiliation, should be clean and pure. Let there be a solemn prayer on the tongue, which comes from the depths of the heart.
Hazrat Abu Saeed Al-Khudri (RA) says that the Holy Prophet (PBUH) said that whoever goes out to pray and recites the Masnoon Dua, Allah Almighty appoints seventy thousand angels to protect him, who pray for him until the end of the prayer. How great is the reward of reciting Masnoon Dua. The labor is small and the labor is so great! It is surprising if our hearts are not affected by this too.
While leaving the mosque, we should also take a look at our appearance, and believing that we are going to a great court, so great that it can be described as the heaven of the world, if it is not an exaggeration, it is also polite to have a good appearance, such a good one that can receive tribute in the eyes of the Shariat.
While going to the mosque, keep in mind that we are going to a big house for a big worship, so the speed should be full of dignity, moderation and calmness, such a speed should never be taken that makes the viewer feel light and reaches the point of ridiculousness in the eyes of the general public. At the same time, it is also a matter that intending to pray is also part of the order of prayer itself. Therefore, while walking on the path, one should refrain from looking at blood and games, laughter and illegal things, look down, have love and fear and hope and fear in the heart, show signs of humility and regret on the face, but all this should never be for anyone else, but only for the Lord of the worlds.
One should come to the mosque on foot, it is not good to come by riding without a Shariah excuse, so that the reward of each step is written in the book of deeds, as mentioned above.
This is also known to be the order of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him). Then, walking to the mosque is a cause of atonement for sins, as the entire incident is mentioned in a long hadith in which the Prophet, peace be upon him, narrated his incident that the vision of Allah came in a state of slumber, the Lord Almighty asked me about the Almighty, I showed my ignorance, and finally He placed His hand of power on me, which I felt the effect of. After that, the same question was asked again by the Almighty, now I said that the angels are disputing in the expiation of sins, i.e. which are the actions that become a means of forgiveness of sins, I gave a detailed answer. The first sentence in the same hadith is: To walk for the congregation. (causes atonement for sin)
When you reach the gate of the mosque by setting the path in this way, while entering the mosque, put your right foot first, then the left. And when you are finished, when you start going out, do the opposite, that is, take out the left foot first, then the right, but put the shoe etc. on the right foot first. Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) says that it is a Sunnah that when you enter the mosque, put your right foot first and when you leave, take your left foot first. The Sahabah of the Prophet (may peace be upon him) followed this, and the requirement of literature is also that the right is relatively superior to the left.
While keeping on this, it will be prayed, meaning:
“Oh Allah! My cow but open your mercy.”
And when you go out, take out the left foot first, and while reciting this dua:
“Oh my God! I ask you for your grace and forgiveness.
If there is an opportunity, first come to the mosque and pray two rakats of Tahiyyah al-Masjid, whether it is the time of the regular prayer or any other time, but it should not be at any of the makruh times, such as the time of sunrise and sunset or the time of sunset. It was narrated from Hazrat Ka’b bin Malik (RA) that the Prophet (PBUH) said that when one of you enters the mosque, he should pray two rak’ahs before sitting down.
If someone wants to make up for Tahiyat al-Masjid during the makruh hours or in the morning and evening, then he should sit facing the Qibla and spend an hour in dhikr, tasbih and tahleel.
May Allah Ta’ala grant us the ability to understand the etiquette of the mosque and then follow it. Amen
