Afghanistan’s Abdullah: There’s no loser in a peaceable settlement


After nearly 20 years of battle in Afghanistan, representatives of the Afghan authorities and the Taliban held their first assembly within the Qatari capital, Doha.
The two sides are aiming to finish a devastating struggle that has killed and injured tens of 1000’s.
Even although assaults on the bottom haven’t stopped for now, the intra-Afghan talks – which lastly commenced after a number of delays and negotiations – carry hope.
But what are the fighters prepared to compromise to achieve peace?
