Lahore:

Alina Azhar, the brave daughter of Pakistan, became a powerful voice for the oppressed of Gaza at the Morocco Youth Congress.

At the International Youth Congress held in Morocco, Alina Azhar, a young social worker from Lahore and a prominent voice of human rights at the global level, highlighted the solidarity of young people around the world for the humanitarian tragedy of Gaza and the right to life of Palestinians.

He said in his address that Pakistan is a supporter of free and independent Palestine and thousands of children and families in Gaza have been severely affected by the war. According to Alina Azhar, global youth human rights activists are currently coming together under a common humanitarian goal to strengthen solidarity with the oppressed Palestinians.

The youth congress held at International Rabat University was jointly organized by Voice for Rights International, Youth Congress Morocco and International Rabat University, in which young human rights activists from different regions including Pakistan and India participated.

Alina Azhar is prominent among the young Pakistani women who have received several international awards including the Lady Diana Award for outstanding social services at a young age. He said that he grew up in an environment where social instability and violence were common, while the death of his father at the age of 16 had a profound impact on his life. She turned this trauma into her strength instead of a weakness and decided that she would be a support to others.

In this spirit, he founded Asra Pakistan at the age of 18, a source of support and protection for senior citizens, orphans, slum-dwelling families, the transgender community and other vulnerable sections. Later, at the age of 22, he founded Asra Turkey, which provides food, warm clothing, hygiene items and other essentials to Syrian refugee families in Istanbul.

Alina Azhar gave a message to the youth that even after being broken, one can reconnect, one can rise even if one is alone and one can create a new direction despite losing everything. He said that real change does not require any position or approval but courage and conviction.

His participation in the International Youth Congress was considered as an effective representation of the young generation of Pakistan. His address was considered a clear and meaningful message regarding human rights, social justice and the role of youth.

He said that during the Congress, he also participated in a program of TRT World, where he met with former First Minister of Scotland Hamza Yusuf, Turkish Deputy Foreign Minister No Yilmaz and Turkish President’s Foreign Policy and Security Adviser Akif Chatay Kilic. In this meeting, the current situation of Gaza and Palestine, the humanitarian crisis and the responsibilities of the international community were discussed in detail. According to Alina Azhar, the problem of Palestine is not only a political conflict but a test of global conscience.
