Hyderabad Sandhya Theatre Stampede Case: Allu Arjun got a big relief yesterday in the stampede that broke out at Sandhya Theater in Hyderabad during the screening of ‘Pushpa 2’. The actor was granted regular bail by Nampally Court.
Now today the actor has reached the Metropolitan Criminal Court in Nampally. After getting regular bail from the court, he will deposit the bail amount today.
Hearing was held in court yesterday
The hearing in the Sandhya Theater stampede case on 4th December was held in Nampally Court of Hyderabad yesterday i.e. on 3rd January. The court gave a relief verdict to Allu and granted him regular bail. The court had also directed the actor to furnish fifty thousand rupees and two sureties as part of the bail conditions.
What is Sandhya theater stampede case?
Pushpa 2 was released on 5 December. A day before this, the screening of the film was held at Sandhya Theater in Hyderabad. During this time, when Allu Arjun reached here with the people associated with the film, there was a stampede in the huge crowd gathered there.
A woman named Revathi lost her life in the stampede and the deceased’s 8 year old child Shritej was badly injured. Who had to be admitted in ICU.
Allu Arjun was arrested in the case
Acting on the complaint of the deceased’s husband, the police arrested some people associated with Sandhya Theater management. After this, Allu Arjun was also taken into custody on 13 December, where the lower court decided to send him to judicial custody for 14 days. However, shortly after this, the Telangana High Court had given its decision to grant him interim bail for 4 weeks.
After being released from jail, Allu Arjun had said in a press conference that he will provide every possible help to the victim’s family and their child admitted in the hospital. He had also expressed regret over this incident.
