Heavy Snowfall in US: The weather changed in some parts of the United States on Sunday (January 05, 2025). Heavy snowfall, strong winds and falling temperatures have created dangerous conditions in many parts of America. At the same time, there is a possibility of the heaviest snowfall of the decade in some parts.
A layer of icy water formed on the roads
A layer of snow has accumulated on major roads in parts of America’s Kansas, western Nebraska and Indiana. At the same time, the National Guard of the state has been activated to help the stranded people. The US National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning in Kansas and Missouri, where winds up to 45 miles per hour could occur in the event of a storm. At the same time, at least 8 inches of snowfall was expected. Apart from this, a warning has been issued for New Jersey from Monday (06 January) to the morning of Tuesday (07 January).
Weather Service gave statement
The weather service said on Sunday morning (05 January), “In the areas where snowfall is most likely, this could be the heaviest snowfall in the last 10 years.” According to Bob Oravec of the National Weather Service, about 63 million people in the US were given winter warnings on Sunday (January 05).

Why is it so cold in America?
