Karachi:
A bilateral shooting took place during an alleged encounter between police and street criminals in the New Karachi border, resulting in the arrest of one of the suspects while his second partner escaped on the spot, taking advantage of the darkness.
According to spokesman SSP District Central, the arrested suspect was identified as Mohammad Mushtaq alias Loha Waleed Yusuf. A pistol, four mobile phones and a motorcycle were recovered from the possession of the arrested accused.
Police have shifted the injured accused to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for first aid while records of the recovered motorcycle are being checked.
Police say efforts are underway to arrest the escaped suspect.
