The decision effectively impose a ban on transgender individuals joining or continuing service. The decision came after a decision taken last month by President Donald Trump, in which questions were questioned on the service of transgender soldiers.

The statement released on 26 February said, “It is the policy of the US government to establish high standards for the readiness, firepower, solidarity, honesty, humility, uniformity and integrity of the military members.”

Biden administration decision was overturned

Earlier, the US Army had prohibited the recruitment of transgender persons in the army, overturning the policies implemented by the Biden administration. During this period, it was decided to abolish all gender-sir (gender confirmation) medical care. During this time, the Army said in its statement that transgender persons will no longer be admitted to the army and all gender transitions (gender changes) for existing service members would be stopped.
