Another good news for the country’s economy, Pakistan Petroleum Limited has discovered new oil and gas reserves.
Natural gas and light oil reserves have been discovered in Shahbandar Block in Sajawal region of Sindh, the management of Pakistan Petroleum Limited has sent the information regarding the discovery of natural reserves to Pakistan Stock Exchange.
According to the letter, 10 mmscfd gas reserves are being obtained from Jhum East X1 per day in Shahbandar block, more than 150 barrels of light oil reserves are also being obtained from Jhum East X1 well.
The letter states that the natural reservoir pressure from the said well is 2800 pounds per square inch, gas from Shahbandar field is being fed into Sui Southern system through Sajawal processing plant.
According to the letter, PPL’s share in Shahbandar field is 63% and Mari Peroleum’s share is 32%, Sindh Energy Holding has 2.5% share in Shahbandar and Government Holding Private Limited also has 2.5% share.
