Army captain martyred, 2 troopers injured in Balochistan IED assault


A captain of the Pakistan Army was martyred whereas two different troopers acquired injured as their car struck an improvised explosive gadget (IED) in Tobo, Balochistan, stated the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) in a press release launched on Sunday.

“Security Forces vehicle struck an IED planted by terrorists in Tobo, Gichik Balochistan. Resultantly Capt Kashif embraced shahadat while 2 soldiers got injured,” the army’s media wing acknowledged.

The communique additional added that, “Injured soldiers have been evacuated to medical facility at Khuzdar.”

Separately, the ISPR stated {that a} terrorist was killed in an intelligence-based operation (IBO) within the Boya space of North Waziristan.

“Security Forces conducted an IBO on reported presence of terrorists in Boya, North Waziristan.”

“During exchange of fire, one terrorist got killed. Weapon and ammunition recovered from the killed terrorist. Search of the area is under process to eliminate any other terrorists found in the area”, the assertion added.

On August 18, a soldier embraced martyrdom when Army engaged a motion of terrorists in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa’s South Waziristan district.

The motion was noticed within the Kanniguram space. “During intense exchange of fire, one of the terrorists was killed. While responding to terrorist fire, Naib Subedar Sonay Zai (age 42 years, resident of Darazinda, DI Khan), got critically injured and later embraced shahadat,” the ISPR had stated.

The assertion added {that a} search operation was being carried out within the space to remove any terrorists discovered.

“The Pakistan Army is determined to eliminate the menace of terrorism and such sacrifices of our brave soldiers further strengthen our resolve,” the army’s media wing added.

On July 18, a soldier of the Pakistan Army embraced martyrdom throughout an IBO in South Waziristan district.

The operation was carried out within the Senai Narai space of the district on the studies of the presence of terrorists.
