Ashes: Australia announced the squad for the second Test match

Australia announced the squad for the second Test of the Ashes series.

According to details, the Australian selectors have not made any changes to the team that won the Perth Test for the day-night Ashes Test at the Gabba.

Australian captain Pat Cummins was not included in the squad due to not fully recovered while Josh Hazlewood was also ruled out due to injury issues.

Australia’s 14-member squad also includes veteran opener Usman Khawaja, who was ruled out of the second innings of the series opener due to a back injury.

But Pat Cummins has been given an extra two weeks to return to full fitness.

Cummins will have a strong chance of returning to the team for the third match in Adelaide starting on December 17.

Steve Smith (capt), Scott Boland, Alex Carey, Brendan Doggett, Cameron Greene, Travis Head, Josh Inglis, Usman Khawaja, Marence Labushin, Nathan Line, Michael Nesser, Mitchell Starc, Jack Weatherold, Beau Webster

It should be noted that the second Ashes day-night test between Australia and England will start from December 4.

In the first Perth Test, Australia defeated England by 8 wickets.
