
Pakistan-Balochistan Attack: On Saturday (January 4), a bus was attacked by the Baloch Liberation Army in Turbat, Balochistan, in which 47 soldiers of Pakistan’s paramilitary Frontier Corps (FC) are claimed to be killed, while 30 are reported to be injured. Is coming forward. According to the report of Balochistan Post, the attack took place when the Pakistani Army convoy was going from Karachi to Kech. The blast occurred in a suburban area, involving 7 buses and 6 escort vehicles. Officials informed that 53 people were traveling in the targeted bus, most of whom were FC soldiers. Two FC vehicles were also damaged in the attack. All the passengers of the bus were affected by this explosion.
Baloch Liberation Army (BLA), an armed “pro-independence” group. He took responsibility for this attack. BLA spokesperson Zeyand Baloch said that their fidayi (self-sacrifice) unit Majeed Brigade carried out the attack, which caused heavy losses to the Pakistani Army. Rescue work started after the incident
After the incident, security forces and police immediately reached the spot and started investigating the area. According to Balochistan Post, Quetta Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Zohaib Mohsin and his family have also been reported injured in this blast. Everyone was sent to the hospital for treatment. Balochistan government spokesperson Shahid Rind said that SSP Mohsin suffered minor injuries, while four members of his family were injured. The injured were admitted to different hospitals and the process of sending the bodies of the deceased to their homes was started.
Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif strongly condemned
After the attack, Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif strongly condemned the incident and expressed condolences for the victims. Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti also expressed grief over the incident, calling it an inhuman act and expressed condolences to the affected families. The Baloch Liberation Army is considered one of the most active “pro-independence” armed groups in Balochistan. This group often carries out high profile attacks. In its annual report “Dhak – 2024”, the BLA claimed that it conducted more than 300 operations last year, in which hundreds of Pakistani soldiers were killed.
