China-Pakistan project in Gwadar: Pakistan had dreamed of making Gwadar of Balochistan a “Dubai of Pakistan”. In Gwadar, there is tremendous resentment among the local people for tremendous security monitoring instead of employment. High fences, security posts and police-military patrolling have increased in Gwadar. Separate zones have been created for Chinese workers, making the locals feel alienated. Local fishermen are being prevented from reaching the sea. Local fishermen’s entry has been closed at the port of deep water. The Pakistani army is raiding their boats. BLA says, “We will not tolerate loot of our resources. China and Pakistan are conspiring against Balochistan.”

China warns Pakistan
China has given strict warning to Pakistan due to increasing attacks in Gwadar and Balochistan. China has demanded that the security of CPEC projects should be increased, Chinese troops (PLA) should be allowed to be deployed in Pakistan. If the security situation does not improve, China will stop investment. At the same time, Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Wang Shengji said, “If security does not improve, then who will invest in this environment? There is tremendous hatred against China in Balochistan.”
