Bangladesh Announces Direct Flights With Pakistan resume after 5 yearsTo Strengthen Bilateral Ties

Bangladesh Pakistan Flights Resumed: The closeness in relations between Bangladesh and Pakistan is continuously increasing. With the aim of strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries, Bangladesh Ambassador to Pakistan Mohammad Iqbal Hussain has announced to start direct air service between the two countries. This service will start for the first time after 2018, ending a gap of five years.

During the press conference, Ambassador Hussain said that this step will facilitate connectivity between the two countries. Due to this, cooperation in areas like tourism, education, and trade will be encouraged. However, he did not clarify when the flights would start.

Improve trade and diplomatic relations
Speaking to journalists, Ambassador Hussain emphasized the growing trade and diplomatic relations between Pakistan and Bangladesh. He said that Bangladeshi youth have got the opportunity to raise their voice for their rights through social media. The ports of Chittagong and Karachi are being used to increase trade between the two countries. He also discussed opportunities for major investment in the health and industry sectors in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, which can provide a boost to businesses.

Defense sector and military cooperation
Ambassador Hussain also discussed the growing cooperation in the defense sector between Bangladesh and Pakistan. Recently, a senior Bangladeshi military officer visited Pakistan and met with the army chiefs. Both countries expressed their intention to further strengthen cooperation in the defense sector.

Upcoming elections and economic priorities in Bangladesh
The Ambassador also discussed the upcoming elections in Bangladesh. He said that Bangladesh is giving priority to its economic development. Also, he praised the capabilities of Pakistan Air Force and appreciated their expertise in the defense sector.

New chapter of improvement in relations
Hussain also said that relations between Bangladesh and Pakistan have improved in recent times, especially after the government of Sheikh Hasina Wajid. Recently, a senior military officer of Bangladesh had attacked Pakistan and called for increasing cooperation in the defense sector. Had met the army chiefs for.
