Bangladesh’s former prime minister’s condition worsens in ICU; Transfer to ventilator

Bangladesh’s former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia was admitted to the hospital two days ago in a critical condition, where she had to be transferred to a ventilator after her condition worsened.

According to the World News Agency, former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia was facing severe breathing difficulties due to lung infection. He was admitted in ICU.

Where her condition improved for some time, but then it started to deteriorate rapidly until the doctors transferred Khaleda Zia to ventilator.

A team of expert doctors from China has also arrived in Dhaka for the examination of Khaleda Zia and they have prescribed some necessary tests. The final report is awaited.

Doctors described the condition of former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia as very critical and said that the next 24 hours are important for her life.

Meanwhile, the family of former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia has appealed to the public to pray for her health, while the party leaders have organized special prayers.

Last year, as a result of the student movement, Sheikh Hasina Wajid’s dictatorial period ended and she fled to India, while Khaleda Zia was released after 6 years in prison.

Imprisoned since 2018, Khaleda Zia’s health deteriorated during her captivity, but Sheikh Hasina Wajid’s government did not allow her to go outside the country for treatment.

Khaleda Zia’s eldest son Tariq Rehman has been in exile in London since 2008. He has once again appealed to the public to pray for his mother’s health.
