Bashar al-Assad’s departure arranged by Russian intelligence, Israeli newspaper

TEL AVIV:

An Israeli newspaper has claimed that the emergency departure of ousted Syrian President Bashar al-Assad from Damascus to Moscow was organized by Russian intelligence.

On December 8, Haya Tahrir al-Sham and other allied groups captured Damascus, before Syrian President Bashar al-Assad fled to Russia.

During this time, the news of his plane accident while escaping also circulated. Later, the Russian Deputy Foreign Minister said that Bashar al-Assad has reached Moscow with his British-born wife and children and has been granted political asylum.

Now the Israeli newspaper has claimed with reference to sources that Bashar al-Assad was told by Russia that he has lost the war, Bashar was advised to leave Syria immediately.

Syrian dictator Bashar was asked to leave for Moscow without informing his close associates. Bashar did not inform his close associates before the emergency departure.

According to the American newspaper Bloomberg, Russian President Putin approved the operation to safely transfer Bashar to Moscow, after which the Russian intelligence arranged the safe travel of Bashar al-Assad.

During Bashar al-Assad’s journey, the plane’s transponder was switched off so that the plane’s location and other information could not be detected.
