Pakistan Security forces killed 11 Suspected Terrorists: Security forces on Sunday killed 11 suspected militants, including a commander of the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), in two operations in the restive Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. These operations were conducted in the troubled Tirah Valley of Khyber district and Lakki Marwat district after receiving information about the presence of terrorists.
A group of terrorists were moving from Tirah Valley via Peer Mela when they were stopped by security forces. In the firing that followed, 10 terrorists were killed while four others were injured.
Sources said that the killed terrorists also included a commander who was leading the group. In the second incident, police and Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) in Lakki Marwat district conducted a joint operation in Shagai area. One terrorist was killed during the firing.
A Pakistani terrorist was caught in India
The terrorist who had received training from Pakistan was caught by the Special Task Force of West Bengal from Canning area on Sunday. Acting on a tip-off, a team of the Special Task Force (STF) of West Bengal Police has arrested a Pakistan-trained terrorist, identified as Javed Munshi, near the India-Bangladesh border in Canning area of South 24 Parganas. . This terrorist had come to Canning area a few days ago on the instructions of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorists to infiltrate into Bangladesh.
Javed Munshi is associated with the banned terrorist organization Tehreek-ul-Mujahideen (TUM). It has a history of involvement in terrorism-related activities, including alleged involvement in the 2011 assassination of Ahl-e-Hadith leader Shaukat Shah, and has served multiple prison terms on terrorism-related charges.
