Bihar polls needs to be held on time, says JDU spokesperson Rajeev Ranjan


Patna: Janata Dal (United) spokesperson Rajeev Ranjan on Saturday stated that meeting elections needs to be held on time in order that the brand new authorities can work for growth.

“It is our responsibility to ensure that the elections are held on time. We are focussing on elections so that the new government works for development,” stated Ranjan.

Ranjan stated the Bihar authorities is engaged on corona and floods administration, and refuted claims of opposition alleging neglect by the state authorities.

While talking on Coronavirus administration, he stated, “To fight corona, 5,000 more beds have been installed in the hospitals for the patients and coronavirus testing target is being set at 20,000 per day.”

“In case of floods, the SOPs are being followed which had been decided last month and on that basis relief shelters and disaster management work is being done,” stated Ranjan whereas commenting on Bihar flood administration.

Meanwhile, components of the Darbhanga district had been flooded on Friday following incessant rainfall within the area. Bihar authorities has stated that 9.6 lakh folks have been affected by floods within the state and 12,023 individuals had been staying in shelter houses.

The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) personnel carried out rescue operations within the flood affected areas of East Champaran district on Friday.

It stated 22 groups of National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) have been deployed within the state to assist in rescue and aid efforts.
