Karachi/Islamabad:
The meeting of the coordination committee of the People’s Party was held under the chairmanship of the chairman of the party, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, at the Bilawal House, the purpose of which was to discuss and discuss strategies to deal with the current political challenges.
The PPP Chairman directed the committee members to approach the political parties to determine which are the issues on which political consensus can be built.
The committee’s recommendations will be presented to the party’s Central Executive Committee later this month.
The members discussed their ongoing and unresolved issues related to political, policy and development challenges at the federal level including Central Punjab, South Punjab, Balochistan and Sindh.
Lack of timely consultation on political, policy and legislative issues with respect to federal government concerns and non-implementation of commitments were identified as key obstacles that need to be addressed.
The participants also expressed concern over the absence of a new consensus to deal with the challenges posed by the rising incidence of terrorism and new ground realities in the country.
According to APP, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi, PPP Khyber Pakhtunkhwa President Mohammad Ali Shah Bacha and General Secretary Shazi Khan met Bilawal Bhutto.
Governor KP met the Grand Jirga at Commissioner’s House Kohat regarding peace and gave a briefing on terrorism and unfair distribution of resources to the APC to be held in Peshawar on December 5.
President PPPKP and General Secretary said that the law and order situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is disturbed.
He also informed about the concerns regarding the Federal Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Senator Faisal Vawda also met Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto at Zardari House.
The crisis arising out of the politics of hatred and division in the country was discussed. Former Prime Minister Raja Pervaiz Ashraf also met. The overall political situation was discussed.
