There was a breakthrough on the power -sharing formula between the ruling Pakistan Muslim League -N and the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) where some of the demands of the Governor Punjab were acknowledged and a sub -committee has been constituted in this regard.
The internal story of a meeting between the PML -N and the PPP’s central leadership has come to light at the Coordination Meeting held at the Governor’s House in Lahore yesterday.
In the meeting, development funds will be issued to the members of the PPP and the second in the election, which did not contest the election on the PPP seat or those who came in the third place did not get funds.
It was decided in the meeting that land would be given to the university in the constituency of former Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf.
The two parties agreed that the districts where the PPP members have a majority will be appointed chairman and vice chairman of development committees and will be appointed as members where there is no majority.
Similarly, notifications to appoint the Constitutional Assistant Assistant and Advocate General will be soon, a sub -committee has been constituted to approve other demands, whose members include senior provincial minister Maryam Aurangzeb, Speaker Punjab Assembly Malik Muhammad Ahmed Khan, PPP parliamentary leader Ali Haider Gilani.
The sub -committee will follow up every week for progress and a meeting will be convened again on April 12 at the Governor House.
At the meeting, the PML -N also offered the ministries to the PPP members, but the leaders of the two parties agreed to work together to end the economic, political instability and terrorism.
It is to be noted that Rana Sanaullah, Khawaja Saad Rafiq, Senior Provincial Minister Maryam Aurangzeb, Speaker Punjab Assembly Malik Muhammad Ahmed Khan, Governor Punjab Saleem Haider, former Prime Minister Raja Pervez Ashraf, PPP parliamentary leader Ali Haider Gilani and Hassan Murtaza were present in the Punjab Assembly.
