A strange incident took place in North Wales, UK where a man pretending to be a fake Navy admiral laid flowers and saluted at a memorial to soldiers who sacrificed their lives during the Great War.
At the commemoration ceremony held in Llandudno, UK, the man was dressed in a rear admiral’s uniform with 12 medals attached to it.
The man, who is yet to be identified, had attended such events several times but this time his fake style and military uniform raised questions for experts.
Especially the medals on his uniform were suspicious because some medals are never worn together.
His uniform also featured unusual differences such as a white cut-collared shirt that was against Royal Navy regulations and unusually large coat sleeves.
A spokesperson for the Royal Navy reacted strongly to the incident, saying that impersonating a naval officer is not only insulting to those associated with the naval service, but can also be a criminal act.
