Portugal star footballer Cristiano Ronaldo sparked controversy when he addressed his girlfriend Georgina Rodriguez as “my wife” at the 2024 Globe Soccer Awards in Dubai.
Cristiano Ronaldo bagged 2 awards including the Best Middle Eastern Player and Top Goal Scorer awards at the Globe Soccer event held in Dubai.
After receiving the awards, Ronaldo thanked his family and said, “It’s a pleasure to win these trophies, my eldest son and my wife Georgina (girlfriend) are here!” He is my support to continue playing, I will be 40 in a month but everything is not done yet.

The star footballer of Saudi club Al Nasr has been dating 30-year-old Georgina since 2016, with whom he has two children, while three children were from his first girlfriend.

The couple is yet to marry and Ronaldo has not proposed to Georgina, which is why he is being criticized for calling his girlfriend his wife.
