On the fourth day of the Cape Town Test, Pakistan scored 441 runs against South Africa for the loss of 6 wickets.
In the second Test match of the series being played in Cape Town, the South African team was bowled out for 615 runs in the first innings against Pakistan. In response, the Pakistan team piled up for 194 runs and fell victim to the follow-on.
The fourth day
On the fourth day, Shan Masood and Khurram Shahzad started the game with 213 runs for the loss of one wicket, Khurram Shahzad got out by scoring 18 runs on a total score of 235, Kamran Ghulam got out by scoring 28 runs and Saud Shakeel got out by scoring 23 runs, captain Shan Masood 145. The third day
On the third day, Pakistan started the innings with 64 runs for the loss of 3 wickets, but the entire team of Pakistan was bowled out for 194 runs against South Africa. It was a victim.
Pakistan’s second batting started with a deficit of 421 runs, Babar Azam got out after scoring 81 runs, Pakistan scored 213 runs for the loss of one wicket by the end of the third day. Shan Masood was at the crease with 102 and Karam Shahzad with 8 runs.
Earlier in the first innings, captain Muhammad Rizwan and Babar Azam showed responsible batting and established a partnership of 98 runs, but Babar 58 and Rizwan returned to the pavilion with individual scores of 46 runs.
Salman Agha 19, Aamir Jamal 15, Khurram Shahzad 14 and Mir Hamza got out by scoring 13 runs, Saeem Ayub could not come to bat due to injury while Muhammad Abbas remained not out with zero.
On behalf of South Africa, Kagiso Rabada took 3 wickets, Mapakha and Kesho Maharaj took 2, 2 wickets each, Wayne Mulder, Marco Jensen took one wicket each.
Second day
South Africa started the second day of play with 316 runs for the loss of 4 wickets. Ryan Rickleton played a brilliant innings of 259 runs and was dismissed by Mir Hamza. Other batsmen included Kyle Vereen 100, Marco Janis 62, Kesho Maharaj 40, David Bedingham 5 and Kevina Mfaka 0, while Kagiso Rabada remained not out with 6 runs.
On behalf of Pakistan, Mohammad Abbas and Salman Agha scored 3, 3 while Mir Hamza and Khurram Shahzad dismissed 2 and 2 players respectively.
Pakistan got off to a disappointing start to the innings and three players were dismissed for a total score of 20. Captain Shan Masood 2, Kamran Ghulam 12 and Saud Shakeel got out with 0 runs.
Babar Azam is currently at the crease with 31 runs and Mohammad Rizwan with 9 runs and the deficit of 551 runs is yet to be covered.
Kagiso Rabada took 2 wickets while Marco Jensen took 1 wicket for the Proteas.
First day
South Africa won the toss and batted first and scored 316 runs for the loss of 4 wickets by the end of the first day’s play.
After 3 wickets fell for 72 runs, a partnership of 235 runs between South African opener Ryan Rickleton and captain Temba Bwuma put the team in a strong position.
Ryan Rickleton is at the crease with 176 runs and is joined by David Bedingham with 4 runs.
South Africa’s captain Temba Bwuma was dismissed after scoring 106 runs. Aidan Markram 17, Vian Mulder 5 and Tristan Stubbs departed the pavilion for nil.
For Pakistan, Salman Agha took two wickets while Khurram Shahzad and Mohammad Abbas took one wicket each.
