Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif has met Vice Chairman of Standing Committee of National People’s Congress Li Hongzong in Beijing.
According to Express News, in the meeting, it was agreed to further strengthen Pakistan-China strategic partnership, while Li Hong appreciated the promotion of Pakistan-China relations and Maryam Nawaz’s family commitment.
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif termed her recent visit to China as a candle of friendship for the political leader Zaki Young Generation and said that she wants to improve the governance of Punjab by benefiting from China’s experiences and observations.
He said that this is my first regular official visit and it is a manifestation of practical efforts to strengthen brotherly relations with China.
Earlier on arrival, Li Hongzong warmly welcomed Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif and her delegation and said that the Chinese leadership wants to take the mutual relations to the peak by further improving the Pakistan-China Corridor project.
Li Hong said that the insight of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif on China’s governance system, geopolitical issues, development and culture issues is commendable. I consider it an honor to meet a dynamic and visionary personality like Chief Minister of Punjab.
He said that the vision of the Chief Minister to serve the people of Punjab is commendable.
Li Hongkong also appreciated the efforts of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif for the promotion of China-Pakistan relations. In the meeting, measures were agreed for the promotion and stability of mutual relations between the two countries.
