China’s bridge ready to win the world’s tallest bridge

In China, a bridge is nearing the world’s tallest bridge honor.

In the Chinese province of Guyezo, the Jiang Grand Canon, spreading over 625 meters (2,051 feet) above the Bipn River, is ready to become the world’s tallest bridge after being completed in the second half of 2025.

The hill province is known for its complex regions and incredible bridges that pass through. Guyzhou is a home of more than half of the world’s 100 tallest bridges and has set a record of the world’s highest bridges more than once.

This year, the Chinese province will once again claim the record for the third consecutive time! The first was in 2003 when the Bipanjiang Bridge became the world’s first suspension bridge to cross the 1,000 -foot height.

The second time in 2016, the honor remained with the same bridge, and this year it will be honored in a bridge on the deepest part of the Bipan River Valley.

This bridge is built in a place called Huajiang Grand Canon, or ‘Earth Creek’.
