Islamabad:

Chinese Ambassador to Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif called on the Prime Minister House Islamabad today and discussed the current situation in the region.

During the meeting, the Prime Minister expressed his best wishes for President Xi Jinping and Prime Minister Li Cheng and thanked China for the strong and steadfast support of Pakistan in the current situation in South Asia.

Referring to the recent telephonic conversation between Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi and Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, the Prime Minister thanked China for understanding Pakistan’s principle stance on India’s actions from April 22, 2025.

The Prime Minister thanked China for confirming his sincere offer for a reliable and transparent international investigation into the incident.

The Prime Minister said that Pakistan has always condemned terrorism in every form of terrorism, as a frontline state in the fight against terrorism, Pakistan sacrificed more than 90,000 lives, while efforts to make the rest of the world a safe place with the country suffered more than 152 billion US dollars.

He said that India’s aggressive actions could remove Pakistan’s attention from the ongoing counter -terrorism efforts against its ISKP, TTP and BLA, which was operating from inside Afghanistan.

The Prime Minister said that India’s decision to use water as a weapon for aggression is extremely regrettable, especially because under the Indus Treaty, no party has the right to deviate from the agreement.

The Prime Minister also emphasized that the peaceful resolution of the Jammu and Kashmir conflict is the only way to ensure sustainable peace in South Asia.

The Chinese Ambassador thanked the Prime Minister for detailed lighting on Pakistan’s point of view and the facts and emphasized that China will always support Pakistan for achieving a joint desire for peace and stability in South Asia.
