Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has set up a committee headed by Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar to review the issue of tax on banks, while directing the authorities to recover 7 million rupees from the President of National Bank of Pakistan.

According to the details, the Prime Minister has set up a committee under the chairmanship of Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, which will resolve the issue of 15 percent additional income tax imposed on banks, which is levied on banks when the AD of a bank. If the R ratio is less than 50%, the Minister of Finance and Revenue, Minister of Law, Minister of State for Finance, Attorney General Pakistan, Finance Secretary, Chairman FBR, Governor State Bank and Asma Hamid will be the members of the committee. It will review the existing legal framework of financial measures related to the banking sector’s advance-to-deposit ratio, and also consider alternative schemes, and seek consensus with banks on the issue of additional income tax.

The committee will present its recommendations within a week, apart from this, the prime minister has reprimanded the head of the National Bank, Rahmat Ali Hosni, for not implementing the orders. has directed the President of the National Bank to recover the expenses of Rs.7 million that he incurred on his unauthorized foreign trip, the Prime Minister has also warned of disciplinary action if he repeats the same in future.

It should be noted that the President of the National Bank went on a business executive course to France without following the rules and regulations, which cost 7 million rupees. After taking notice of the Prime Minister, the Finance Ministry wrote a letter to the National Bank for recovery. is given
