Covid: ‘No time to waste’ in vaccinating 16-17 12 months olds

Children aged 16-17 needs to be vaccinated “as fast as practically possible”, England’s deputy chief medical officer has stated.

All 16 and 17-year-olds within the UK will begin being supplied a primary dose of the Covid vaccine inside weeks, after a advice from vaccine specialists.

“Children are going to start going back to colleges and sixth forms… so there is no time to waste,” Prof Jonathan Van-Tam advised a Downing Street briefing.
