Covid vaccine: Needle-phobic name for vaccine exemption

Charities and people with a phobia of needles have requested to be medically exempt from any Covid passport scheme, on account of their difficulties with receiving Covid-19 vaccines.

Needle phobia causes an excessive fear of injections and in lots of instances nervousness round simply seeing a needle.

Adam, 23, from Lincolnshire has nervousness and a phobia of needles and has tried twice to get a jab. He was inspired to come back ahead after seeing a clinic providing further assist for many who want it.

A spokesperson from the Department of Health and Social Care mentioned: “We recognise some people cannot have a vaccine for medical reasons and we are working to ensure they are not disadvantaged.”
