New Delhi: A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) sub-inspector killed one other CRPF inspector after which dedicated suicide in Delhi’s posh Lodhi Estate space late on Friday (July 24) night time.
The incident is claimed to have taken place at 10:30 pm on the authorities lodging on the Tughlaq Road in Delhi’s Lodhi Estate space. Police, after receiving a PCR name, arrived on the scene instantly and located two CRPF personnel useless on the spot.
According to reviews, on Friday night time, CRPF sub-inspector Karnail Singh and inspector Dashrath Singh bought into an argument after which the previous took out his service weapon and fired on the latter. The sub-inspector then shoots himself with the identical weapon. Investigations revealed that there was a tussle between the 2 that escalated on Friday night time.
Sub-inspector Singh fired a bullet whereas the Inspector was having a meal in his room. He then shot himself on the entrance gate near the guard room of the bungalow.
Karnail Singh, a CRPF sub-inspector of the 122 Battalion, hailed from Udhampur in Jammu and Kashmir whereas Inspector Dashrath Singh was from Rohtak in Haryana.
An inquiry is being performed to establish the trigger behind the incident, police mentioned, including that there is no such thing as a eye-witness to the case.
“In a fratricidal event last night, one sub-inspector of 122 Battalion of CRPF shot dead an Inspector of the same Battalion before getting himself shot with his service weapon. The incident at 61, Lodhi Estate is an aberration which seems to have been committed on the spur of the moment. An enquiry has been ordered to establish the facts of the matter and will be taken to its logical end. Meanwhile, senior officers of the Force have rushed to the spot and handling the situation,” M Dinakaran, DIG and official spokesperson, CRPF mentioned.
The 61 Lodhi Estate mansion is allotted to the Home Ministry.
