demands of local representatives; KP government asked for 10 days time

Peshawar:

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government, recognizing the charter of demand of the local body representatives, asked for time to implement it.

Local government representatives of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa protested in Peshawar on Wednesday regarding restoration of powers, release of funds and allocation of offices and resources to local government representatives in tribal areas, which was met with lathi charge and tear gas by the police. After that, there were negotiations between the government and local government representatives.

Peshawar Mayor Zubair Ali said that the government has agreed to our demands and asked for 10 days, but we have given the government 20 days to fulfill our demands. A declaration should be issued in this regard.
