Islamabad:
Deputy Prime Minister of Pakistan and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar held a telephonic conversation with Malaysian Foreign Minister Dato Sri Mohammad Hassan to discuss regional situation and recent progress.
During the conversation, Senator Ishaq Dar strongly dismissed India’s provocative acts, baseless allegations, provocative propaganda and unilateral suspending the Indus Treaty. He called these measures an open violation of international law and agreement.
The Deputy Prime Minister reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to regional peace and stability, but made it clear that Pakistan reserves full right to protect its sovereignty and national interests.
Malaysian Foreign Minister Dato Sri Mohammad Hassan supported Pakistan’s position and appealed to all parties to work patiently. The two leaders agreed to stay in close contact with the changing situation.
