Interior Ministry officials have said on the issue of internet closure in Panjgur district that security agencies did not give clearance for the next 6 months, what BLA terrorists are using is something else. Terrorists are not using our Internet.

A meeting of the National Assembly’s Standing Committee on IT and Telecom, chaired by Federal Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunications Aminul Haq, was held in Parliament House. In the meeting, the Interior Ministry briefed the Standing Committee on the closure of Internet service in Panjgur, saying that we did not give a letter on March 22.

Interior Ministry officials said it was not explained in this regard that it was said that internet data would be closed for security reasons.

Committee member Pollen Baloch said that the issue of internet closure in my district of Panjgur has remained intact for the last several years. If matters could not be resolved for three years, what would be fine in the next six months? “We think the internet will be banned in Panjgur on a regular basis,” he said, “I take oath and say that my area is being punished,” he said.

Speaking to the Standing Committee, Faisal Ratial, Acting CEO of the National Information Technology Board, said that NITB is creating an app for safe communication of government employees, the app will facilitate voice and video conferencing with the communication of government employees, a high level of Bip Application.

The Chairman Committee said that the Bip application will be launched before June 30? NITB officials said that the application is putting security layer of security, this move will further improve the security of the application. The high level committee is looking into the matter.

Secretary IT and Telecom said that the Bip application has been developed and its cyber security is being reviewed.

The committee has proposed some steps to the NITB in the report. He said that the provincial government of Sindh and the Gilgit -Baltistan government have been briefed at the e -office, the Bip application in PC One will only launch in federal institutions after the federal government will also spread the scope of the application in the provinces.

The Standing Committee paid tribute to the performance of the cyber security team during the Pak -India war. The Chairman Committee said that cyber -attacks were carried out on Pakistan from May 5 to 10, Pakistan’s cyber security team foiled cyber attacks, Pakistan’s cyber security team, national certificate deserves tribute, Pakistan protected its cyber assets and also carried out cyber attacks on the enemy.
