The BJP now termed the canceled funding as “external intervention” in India’s election process. BJP national spokesperson Amit Malviya said in a statement, “$ 21 million for voters? This is definitely external intervention in India’s election process. Who will benefit from this? Surely not the ruling party!”
He further said that systematic infiltration is being done by foreign forces in Indian institutions, especially billionaire investors George Soros and his Open Society Foundation to affect global institutions.
