Dozens of Pakistanis who drowned in the Greece boat accident are still missing, which has been confirmed by the Pakistani ambassador.
Pakistan’s ambassador to Greece, Amir Aftab, said in a press conference that the bodies of the Pakistanis who died in the boat accident will be sent to Pakistan by the embassy at its own expense.

He said that dozens of Pakistanis are still missing in the boat accident. The rescue operation is still going on at the accident site, but the hopes of missing persons have died.
According to Amir Aftab, Pakistanis were on board 5 boats illegally from Libya. The boat accident occurred due to overcrowding. The boat in which the Pakistanis were on board first had a crack in the boat, causing the boat to sink. There were 80 Pakistanis on board.

4 dead Pakistanis have been identified
The Foreign Office of Pakistan has confirmed that 4 Pakistanis have died in an accident in which a migrant boat overturned in Greece. According to the spokesman, these four have also been identified. The Pakistani mission in Athens is in touch with the Greek authorities to facilitate the survivors and repatriate the bodies.

On the other hand, 2 brothers from Gujarat who survived the boat accident told their painful story that our boat was hit by a cargo ship, as a result of which the boat overturned. The engine of the accident boat was not good and its condition was also not good.
The affected young man narrated that the agents kept us in Libya for one and a half to two months and then our boat left Libya on December 11. We were sailing from Libya to Italy when our boat collided with a cargo ship near Greece, causing the boat to capsize.
The young man said that by Allah’s trust we are breathing today after the accident, we were rescued from the sea and sent to the Greek camp. Pakistanis living in Greece have provided clothes and shoes, but the Pakistani embassy is not helping anyone.
The affected youth said that he left the country due to the difficult conditions in Pakistan and decided to go out to get rid of the difficulties, but he faced difficulties here as well.
Intelligence revelations about the boat accident
There have been sobering revelations regarding the boat accident in the open sea near Greece, human traffickers have started using ordinary small boats instead of large trawlers (ships) to avoid coast guards and surveillance systems in the open sea.
On the night of December 11-12, migrants from Libya were boarded in three different boats, the boats remained in the sea for about two and a half days, out of which two boats were safe while one had an accident. The recent accident also took place due to the greed of sailors and smugglers as in the past, because the affected boat also had more people on board and this was the reason for the accident.
According to the information received by Express, more than 84 people were on board the boat, most of whom were Pakistanis, while a few passengers were Egyptians and Sudanese. Among the two sailors, one Sudanese sailor survived, who has been arrested by the police there, while 47 Pakistanis were rescued and identified, 4 Pakistanis died, one of whom is from Sialkot.
According to the sources, 30 Pakistanis are reported missing who have been told by the surviving Pakistanis and the search for them is on.
The information received by Express also revealed that the age of the people on board the boat was 15 to 40 years, the majority was 25 to 30 years old, while 3 children aged 15 to 16 years were also included. Most of the people are from Sialkot, Mandi Bahauddin and Gujrat areas of Punjab.
