More than 67 people, including patients, were killed in a drone attack at a hospital in the Al -Fashar area in Darfar region, Sudan.
Al Jazeera reports that 67 people were killed and dozens were injured in a drone attack at the hospital, according to Al Jazeera reports.
The report said that the drone attack was carried out yesterday and 37 people were killed at the same time and now more injured have died and the total number of casualties has increased to 67.
The region’s governor, Mini Manawi, released photos of blood -stained bodies on X, saying that more than 70 patients, including women and children, were killed in a drone attack.
An armed fighting between the Paralytri RSF and the government forces in Sudan is underway, but the attack has not yet been explained by which party attacked.
The RSF has almost complete control of the Western region in the fighting with the Sudan army in April 2023.
Al -Fashar, the North Darfar capital, is surrounded by RSF personnel, but armed groups supported by the Sudanese army are not allowing these forces to take control of the area and all attacks are being repelled.
Medical centers have been destroyed in al -Fashar during the ongoing fighting in Sudan, and Dr. Without Borders said in a statement that Saudi Hospital is the only medical center this month where surgical facilities are available.
According to official data, 80 % of hospitals across the country have disappeared due to fighting in hospitals.
On the other hand, thousands of people have been killed so far in this horrific fighting of both forces, millions of people have migrated from their areas and a large number of population have lost their basic necessities like food.
