In this letter, the Director Colleges Karachi himself disclosed that it has come to his knowledge that some colleges have not completed the teaching as per the course plan and the required classes have not been conducted.
The letter states that in order to achieve the goal of timely conduct of classes for quality education, if there is a shortage of teachers, the college principals may conduct the college classes through other available teachers.
The letter also states that if any teacher does not cooperate with the college administration in this regard, the directorate should be reported for administrative action in this regard.
It should be noted that with this letter, the problem of shortage of teachers in the government colleges of Karachi has come to the fore, while a new discussion has also started on the opinion of having the teachers of other subjects teach any other subject, how it is possible.

Similarly, 237 posts of Associate Professor/Principals in grade 19, 4 posts of Professor/Principal in grade 20 and librarian are vacant.
On the other hand, the sources told “Express” that “the recruitment of about 1600 new teachers in the government colleges of Sindh has reached the final stages. to be distributed due to delay.
The sources also said that even when these 1600 teachers are transferred to the colleges, there will still be a shortage of teachers in Karachi because only a little more than 300 of them will be appointed in the colleges of Karachi.
College sources told “Express” that only a few colleges, including Sirsyed Government Girls College, do not have teachers for Botany, Pakistan Studies, Psychology, Sociology, Persian, Computer, Physical Education and International Relations.
Similarly, in Adamji Science College, there are no teachers of Islamic Studies and Statistics, while there is one teacher each of English, Computer, and Pakistan Studies.
DJ Sindh Government Science College has insufficient teachers of Mathematics and English, Jinnah Government College Nazimabad has no Pakistan Studies teacher while Botany, Islamic Studies have one each and Commerce has 2 teachers.
In this college, the enrollment of only science subjects is 3900 while the enrollment in commerce is around 1100.
