Islamabad:
The Election Commission directed the Members of Parliament and Provincial Assembly members to submit their returns by December 31.
According to the spokesperson of the Election Commission, all the members have been reminded once again that every member of the Assembly and Senate should submit the statements of assets and liabilities to the Election Commission.
According to the spokesman, the names of those who do not submit the required returns by the specified date on January 1 will be published, and the membership of members of parliament and provincial assemblies who do not submit returns on January 16 will be suspended.
The Election Commission says that the members will not be able to participate in any proceedings until the returns are submitted, while providing false information will be prosecuted as a crime of corruption.
