Explosion at Iran gasoline storage facility, no casualties: State TV


An explosion befell at an Iranian gasoline storage facility in an space which homes a delicate army web site near the capital, Tehran, in keeping with a defence ministry spokesperson.

Iran’s defence ministry spokesperson Davoud Abdi instructed state TV on Friday the blast occurred at a gasoline storage facility in a “public area” of Parchin.

The tank blew up round midnight on Thursday, with Fars information company saying “a number of social media users reported seeing an orange light” within the east of the Iranian capital.

Fars mentioned that the flash of sunshine was attributable to “an industrial gas tank explosion” near a facility belonging to the defence ministry.

Mehr information company mentioned a “terrible sound” was heard.

“The cause of this sound and light is not yet known, but it was clearly heard in Pardis, in Boumhen and surrounding areas” of the Iranian capital, Mehr reported.
