By January 2024, the number of Facebook users in the country has reached 64 million.
According to the PTA report, the number of male users of Facebook is 77% and the number of female users is 24%. By January 2024, the number of YouTube users in the country was recorded at 71.7 million.
The number of male YouTube users is 72% and the number of female users is 28%. In January 2024, the number of TikTok users in the country was recorded at 54.4 million.
The number of male users using Tik Tok is 78 percent, the number of women is 22 percent. By January 2024, the number of Instagram users was recorded as 1 crore 73 lakh.
64% of Instagram users are male and 36% are female. Additionally, actions are being taken against those who commit fraud with mobile phone users.
In one year, 5 thousand 294 mobile numbers involved in fraud have been blocked while 4 thousand 507 IEMIs involved in fraud and fraud have been blocked.
Last year, ID cards of 113 people involved in fraud were blocked. PTA issued warnings to 19 thousand mobile numbers in one year.
On the other hand, the country’s telecom sector has achieved a record revenue of Rs 956 billion during the fiscal year 2023-24.
