The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority has warned the public that internet service in the country is likely to be affected due to a fault in the undersea cable near Qatar.
The PTA has said that a fault has been reported in the undersea cable AAE-1 near Qatar. This cable is one of the seven cables used by Pakistan for international internet traffic.
According to PTA, the service of Internet and broadband users across the country may be affected due to the fault in the undersea cable, the relevant teams are working to remove the fault.
The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority says PTA is monitoring the situation and will continue to provide updates to users.
The PTA has appealed to the customers for their cooperation and asked them to please exercise patience till the service is restored.
