Analyst Shehbaz Rana said that the government has decided to withdraw the additional 15 percent tax imposed on commercial banks.
In which there is a one-one position for both the government and the banks because the interests of the government have also been protected and the commercial banks have also benefited from it and the third party who will benefit the most will be the Ministry of Finance.
The Ministry of Finance will now borrow as much as it wants, there will be no plant on this bank, while talking on the Express News program The Review, he said that the claim of the Chairman FBR for tax of 1600 billion on the citizens is basically based on the assumption that the lifestyle of some Pakistanis. It is like they should pay a certain amount of tax but they don’t.
Analyst Kamran Yusuf said that in the next few days, President Asif Ali Zardari will issue a presidential ordinance in which it has been decided to abolish the additional 15 percent tax imposed on commercial banks.
The decision comes as a result of a deal struck with banks under which the government is withdrawing the 15 percent additional tax imposed on banks.
This week, Chairman FBR claimed that there are 2.7 million people in Pakistan who owe 1600 billion rupees in taxes but they do not pay taxes.
