FBR shares plan to meet revenue shortfall with IMF

Islamabad:

The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has shared a plan with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to meet the revenue shortfall.

According to Express News, FBI sources said that the port has said that containers clearance, auctioning of smuggled goods and enforcement capacity will be improved.

FBR has said that tax collection from the under-tax sector and cases in courts will be cleared soon.

Sources said that progress will be made on all measures before the arrival of the IMF delegation.

During January, FBR has to achieve a tax target of around 960 billion rupees, with a revenue shortfall of 385 billion rupees, the tax target for January is up to 1,340 billion rupees.

FBR said that all measures will be taken to achieve the tax target for the current month.
