In his speech, the Finance Minister said that the significant rise in the Pakistan Stock Market is reflecting the confidence of investors in the country’s economy. It was to lead to sustainable export-led growth which is yielding excellent results.
Steps are being taken regarding digitalization, faceless interaction system has been introduced in customs, reforms in energy sector are being implemented. He said that the work is going on under the comprehensive agenda to reduce government expenditure, debt repayment has improved.
He said that we are reducing the expenses and size of the federal government, 42 ministries and 400 affiliated institutions are being reviewed. These processes are being gradually advanced and measures are being taken.
The problems related to taxation in the stock market will be solved, the Ministry of Finance will provide all the facilities in this regard. Earlier, the Chief Executive Officer of Pakistan Stock Exchange, Farrukh Sabzwari, said that due to the stability of the overall economy and reduction in the policy rate, the Pakistan Stock Exchange There has been significant acceleration, we are also grateful to our Chinese partners, we have the best partnership with Chinese stock exchanges.
He said that we have signed MoUs with three stock exchanges in China and technical support is continuing between us. He said that the stock market has given a return of 80% in a year which is reflecting the best performance of the market, despite the difficulties we have shown the best performance while still there is a lot of scope in the market.
