FIR in opposition to BJP MLC over remarks in opposition to NCP chief Sharad Pawar


Pune: The Maharashtra Police in Pune registered an FIR in opposition to BJP MLC Gopichand Padalkar on Thursday in connection together with his remarks in opposition to NCP chief Sharad Pawar, an official stated. Padalkar on June 24 termed Pawar as “corona” that has contaminated Maharashtra.

NCP’s Baramati unit office-bearer Amar Dhumal subsequently lodged a criticism in opposition to Padalkar. The NCP staff burnt an effigy of Padalkar and beat his photographs with footwear. “A large number of NCP workers gathered near the Mandai area to condemn the undeserving remarks made by Padalkar against NCP supremo Sharad Pawar. An effigy of Padalkar was burnt and his photos were hit with slippers and shoes,” NCP Pune unit spokesperson Ankush Kakde stated. He stated Padalkar ought to apologise to Pawar for his “objectionable” remarks.
