Relations between India and China: India’s Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri met China’s Foreign Minister Wang Yi in Beijing on Monday (January 27). During this, discussions were held to improve bilateral relations between the two. Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri is on a two-day visit to China to improve relations between the two countries.

With this meeting, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi told Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri that after the meeting between President Xi Jinping and PM Modi in Kazan, Russia last year, a consensus has been reached between the two countries. Relations between the two countries are improving. In such a situation, we should take advantage of this opportunity.

In the statement issued by China’s Foreign Ministry, it has been said that both the countries should move together. During this time, both the countries should be committed to mutual understanding and mutual cooperation. Apart from this, both the countries should avoid mutual suspicion and mutual isolation. Wang said that the improvement and development of China-India relations is completely in line with the fundamental interests of the two countries.

Earlier on Sunday, after reaching China, Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri had met Liu Jianchao, head of the international department of the ruling Communist Party. During this, both of them talked about jointly implementing the consensus of the leaders of the two countries, strengthening exchanges and dialogue, improving and promoting development of China-India relations as well as international and regional issues.

There have been many meetings recently

In recent weeks, foreign and defense ministers from both sides met during multilateral meetings. At the same time, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval traveled to Beijing in December for the meeting of special representatives on the border issue. Wang is China’s special representative and this was their second meeting in less than five months.
